Diane Mahone
Founder and Director of Mama Bear Academy
Diane's mission has always centered on helping children. Her journey began in pediatric nursing and grew into more than 18 years of childcare, classroom, administrative, and early-learning leadership experience.
She combines the heart of a hands-on caregiver with the vision of a builder, creating thoughtful routines, strong family partnerships, and a place where every child can feel safe, known, and encouraged to flourish.
But I also love what happens behind the scenes: building strong programs, creating systems, welcoming new families, supporting educators, and developing environments where both children and the people caring for them can thrive. That combination is part of what makes Mama Bear Academy so special to me.
I'm not simply building a place where children can be watched while their parents work. I'm creating the kind of environment I believe every child deserves: a safe place to be loved, a joyful place to learn, and a nurturing place to grow.
As a mother myself, I understand that choosing childcare is deeply personal. You aren't simply choosing a program. You are trusting someone with a piece of your heart. I don't take that trust lightly.
At Mama Bear Academy, we believe in big love for little learners, strong relationships with families, intentional learning through play, and creating childhood experiences children feel safe enough to enjoy.
